Cecelia Chapman


Cecilia Chapman was born in San Francisco, California and graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York with a degree in graphic design. She has worked on designs for the Cultural Olympics, the Exploratorium Museum with Dr. Frank Oppenheimer, the Mexican design department Bellas Artes, for fabric companies and in the rubber stamp industry.

In 2006, Chapman began making short films for the Internet. Her interest lies in creating innovative visual languages that integrate design, symbolism and storytelling with experimental imagery, music, text, poetry and asemic writing. She explores connections in communication, consciousness, mythology, culture and themes of power and transformation. Chapman has produced Drone Drama: Music for the Dead, Club Paradise, Planet of Dreams and Astro Pool, multimedia projects that explore how we think and live. She strives to develop a visual (or?) language to communicate with aliens.
